Build Wisely

A HOME IS MUCH MORE THAN A HOUSE BUILT OF LUMBER, BRICK, OR STONE. A HOME IS MADE OF LOVE, SACRIFICE, AND RESPECT. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HOMES WE BUILD. WE MUST BUILD WISELY, FOR ETERNITY IS NOT A SHORT VOYAGE. THERE WILL BE CALM AND WIND, SUNLIGHT AND SHADOW, JOY AND SORROW. BUT IF WE REALLY TRY, OUR HOME CAN BE A BIT OF HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH. THE THOUGHTS WE THINK, THE DEEDS WE DO, THE LIVES WE LIVE NOT ONLY INFLUENCE THE SUCCESS OF OUR EARTHLY JOURNEY, THEY ALSO MARK THE WAY TO OUR ETERNAL GOALS.

The "Suite" Life

Our Dad rules! Recently while Bill was on a business trip in Los Vegas he met up with someone who works for Dylan and Cole Sprouse, twin stars of Disney Channel's "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and "The Suite Life on Deck." Somewhere in the mix of their discussion of work related stuff Bill requested signed pictures for his little girls. (On a side note here, I love being married to a man that knows what his kids are into!)
The autographed pictures arrived this week, one for each girl, and one for Bill too! To say that they were excited would be a serious understatement. In hind sight maybe we should have waited to give them the pics at some other time besides right before bedtime. They were just too excited to sleep after that. Dad was elevated from mere mortal dad to "cool, connected, famous, and we love you forever" dad.
The girls took their little photos to school, and now OUR dad is now a celebrity himself over at the elementary school. Several kids, including our own, now have lists of other popular stars for our hip dad to work his "connections" with for more pics. Well, I wish them good luck with that one.
I wish you could have been here for the "photo" session of the following pics because Bill was having a ball with the girls. I guess not even this gift could spare Bill the ol' roll of the eye. Well, you'll see. The pictures say it all.
