Build Wisely

A HOME IS MUCH MORE THAN A HOUSE BUILT OF LUMBER, BRICK, OR STONE. A HOME IS MADE OF LOVE, SACRIFICE, AND RESPECT. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HOMES WE BUILD. WE MUST BUILD WISELY, FOR ETERNITY IS NOT A SHORT VOYAGE. THERE WILL BE CALM AND WIND, SUNLIGHT AND SHADOW, JOY AND SORROW. BUT IF WE REALLY TRY, OUR HOME CAN BE A BIT OF HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH. THE THOUGHTS WE THINK, THE DEEDS WE DO, THE LIVES WE LIVE NOT ONLY INFLUENCE THE SUCCESS OF OUR EARTHLY JOURNEY, THEY ALSO MARK THE WAY TO OUR ETERNAL GOALS.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

In my mind's eye I pictured this post covered with pictures of our Daddy, and sweetheart, depicting every little way Bill creates memories with us. In the real world those pictures are packed away in a box somewhere, but we really don't need them. Pictures or not, the facts remain the same. We can still express our gratitude without pomp and circumstance. So without further adieu, we just want to give a HUGE shout out and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Daddy. Thanks for all you do, the horsey rides on your back, the good night kisses, the gentle pat on our backs for a job well done, the strong pat on the rear when our course needed corrected, thanks for the understanding ear, for the books we've read together, the love we've shared, thanks for watching our favorite movies with us over and over again, thanks for letting us "vent", thanks for reminding us that things will be better tomorrow or that we can get through our trials, thanks for your wise advice, your kind heart, your love of life, thanks for being our light in the dark, our voice of reason, thanks for being a hard worker, an honest man, a prayerful and humble husband and father, thanks for the laughter, the tickle monster, the appreciation of nature and the balance of it all, but thanks most of all for just being you. We could list more things that you do for us, and more ways that you love us, but we won't embarrass you anymore. We are grateful to have the BEST husband, father, son, brother, and friend in our lives! May we bless you the way you bless us! We love you, Happy Birthday!
