Build Wisely

Back to School

Today was Erin's first day back to school. It is hard to believe that she is already in the 2nd grade. We just bought a house, well we close on it on the 30th of this month, and so poor Erin had to change schools again. I feel really bad, but each move was unavoidable. She started kindergarten in Illinois, then we moved to MA half way through her 1st grade year, and now it is a new school again for 2nd grade. We tried really hard to buy a house that would keep her in the same school, but it just wasn't in the cards.
Yesterday, we did all of our last minute shopping, and we even went to the school for a private tour and to meet her new teacher. That really set her mind at ease, and so today, although she was a bit nervous, she was happy to be back in school again, even if it is a new school.

2nd graders! I remember them playing together before they knew what playing together was. I guess that first year was more for us Moms. She looks beautiful!; September 4, 2008 at 3:12 PM
